Tisoki: «Echo de menos cierta unión que se notaba antes y el hecho de que no hubiera ego. A día de hoy, mucha gente se viene arriba cuando tienen un poco de éxito»

Tenemos el placer de tener en All Music Spain a Tisoki. Productor procedente de UK, pero actualmente residente en California. Este artista de bass nos ha dejado grandes producciones a lo largo de su carrera, remezclando para grandes artistas del sector, y despuntando con producciones originales.

Prueba de ello nos encontramos su Babylon junto a Jauz, su Don’t Lie, Wobble colaboración con Crankdat o su impecable White Flag de Delta Heavy y recienmente su último EP Promise compuesto por cinco piezas. entre muchos otros proyectos.

En esta entrevista hablamos con el británico diferentes temas. Que es lo que echa en falta de la escena dubstep de hace 10 años, cuales son sus próximos proyectos, alguna anéctota curiosa o cual es su pensamiento frente a esta pandemia.

A.M.S: De todos los temas que se han producido en la escena dubstep mundial hasta la fecha. ¿Cuáles son tus tres temas preferidos?

Tisoki: ¡Feel The Power remix, New Wave y Razor Blades!

A.M.S: ¿Qué otros géneros de música te gustan escuchar en la intimidad?

Tisoki: Lofi hip hop y Jazz!

A.M.S: Has actuado en grandes eventos como Red Rocks o Lost Lands entre muchos otros. ¿Cuál ha sido el que más te ha impresionado y por qué?

Tisoki: Sin duda, Red Rocks. El emplazamiento es impresionante y cuando estás en el escenario mirando a las dos grandes rocas, te da una perspectiva de cuán pequeños somos como humanos.

A.M.S: Has colaborado y remezclado a grandes artistas de la escena como Slander, JAUZ, Crankdat, Borgore o Calvin Harris entre muchos otros. ¿Qué colaboraciones tendremos de Tisoki este 2020?

Tisoki: Si! Tengo algunas colaboraciones entre manos que no puedo mencionar, no quiero gafarlas!

A.M.S: Desde tus inicios siempre has tenido una predilección por la música bass. ¿Qué es lo que sientes al producir este estilo?

Tisoki: Simplemente me gusta divertirme y ser creativo. Si me lo tomo demasiado en serio acabo perdiendo la inspiración.

A.M.S: ¿Qué es lo que más te gusta de tu trabajo?

Tisoki: La mejor parte de mi ‘trabajo’ es poder crear tanto arte con todos mis amigos.

All Music Spain: Recientemente has lanzado tu remix a “Potions” de Slander y Said The Sky. ¿Qué proyectos se viene este 2020 de la mano de Tisoki? ¿Nuevo EP, álbum?

Tisoki: Mi próximo lanzamiento será un EP de remixes de mi último EP, con algunos trabajos geniales.

A.M.S: ¿Nos puedes contar alguna anécdota curiosa que te haya ocurrido a lo largo de todos los bolos que has realizado?

Tisoki: Una vez me di un puñetazo en la cara mientras actuaba en un show y me partí el labio!

A.M.S: Es evidente que la música bass en EE.UU es mucho más fuerte ¿Qué crees que tiene la escena bass americana que no tenga la europea?

Tisoki: La escena Bass americana es como más teatral y comercial, y la europea es mucho más underground y menos comercial, y aun así todas son geniales!

A.M.S: ¿Qué echas de menos de la escena bass de hace 8-10 años?

Tisoki: Echo de menos cierta unión que se notaba antes y el hecho de que no hubiera ego. A día de hoy, mucha gente se viene arriba cuando tienen un poco de éxito.

A.M.S: ¿Con quien has entablado una amistad especial en el circuito de la bass music que nunca pensarías que iba a llegar a ocurrir?

Tisoki: Si! Prácticamente todos mis amigos son productores, lol.

A.M.S: ¿Cómo crees que va a afectar esta pandemia del COVID-19 a la industria musical?

Tisoki: Creativamente, creo que va a servir para inspirar a muchos artistas a hacer música nueva e increíble, pero también pienso que va a servir como una especie de reinicio para ciertos aspectos que estaban saturados en la industria. Con suerte, las cosas volverán a su cauce, y mejor que nunca.

Interview + Guestmix with Tisoki – 2020

Tisoki: ‘I miss a certain feeling of union and the fact that there were no egos. Nowadays, a lot of people get a big head when they have a little success.’

We have the pleasure to host an interview with Tisoki here in All Music Spain. UK-based producer, but actually living in California. This Bass artist has left us a lot of bangers throughout his career, remixing gret artists and standing out with his original tracks.

A proof of that is found when we check ‘Babylon‘ with Jauz, ‘Don’ t Lie‘, ‘Wobble‘ with Crankdat or ‘White Flag‘ with Delta Heavy, adding up to his most recent EP, called ‘Promise‘, composed of 5 new tracks along other ambitious projects.

In this interview we talked about different terms with the British. What he misses from the Dubstep scene, his future projects, any cool story behind the stages or his thoughts about the pandemic.

A.M.S: Taking into account all your Dubstep productions, could you list your personal favroutie three tracks?

Tisoki: Feel The Power remix, New Wave and Razor Blades

A.M.S: What other genres do you usually listen to which is less common to your known people?

Tisoki: Lofi hip hop & jazz!

A.M.S: You have played on big events such as Red Rocks or Lost Lands, among other big ones. Which one has impressed you the most and why?

Tisoki: Definitely Red Rocks, the venue is just so breathtaking and when you’re standing on the stage looking up at the two rocks, it really gives you perspective on how small you are as a human being.

A.M.S: You have collaborated with and remixed big artists, like Slander, JAUZ, Crankdat,Borgore or Calvin Harris, together with a lot more. Can we expect any new collab this 2020?

Tisoki: Yes! i have a ton of collabs in the works right now but i can’t mention who with, i don’t wanna jinx it.

A.M.S: You have showed a great inclination on Bass music since your beginning. What are your feelings when you sit in the studio and start producing this style?

Tisoki: I just like to get creative and have fun, if i take it too seriously then i end up losing inspiration.

A.M.S: What is your favourite part from your job?

Tisoki: Best part of the «job» is being able to just create art with all my friends.

All Music Spain: You have recently released your remix to ‘Potions’ by Slander and Said The Sky. Whatprojects can we expect from Tisoki on 2020? Any new EP or album on the way?

Tisoki: My next release is a remix EP of my latest EP with some awesome flips on there.

A.M.S: Can you tell us about any funny or curious experience you had in any of all the gigs you have played?

Tisoki: I once punched myself in the face whilst playing a show and split my lip open haha.

A.M.S: It is clear that Bass music has a lot more strength in the USA. What do you think that are the keys for the difference between American and European Bass scene?

Tisoki: The American bass scene is more like theatre and the European bass scene is a lot more underground and less mainstream, both are great though.

A.M.S: What do you miss from the Bass scene from 8-10 years ago?

Tisoki: Everyone jamming together and there being no egos. A lot of people these days let a small amount of success get to their heads.

A.M.S: Have you stablished any friendship thanks to the Bass scene which you never imagined before?

Tisoki: Yes! pretty much all my friends are music producers lol

A.M.S: How do you think the music industry will be affected with the impact of CoVid-19?

Tisoki: Creatively i think it’s gonna inspire some incredible new music but i also think that’s it’s just a big reset button for a lot of things that have just been overlooked in the industry, hopefully things are going to come back better than ever after it all blows over.

Tenemos el placer de tener con nosotros a Sam Dobkin, más conocido como Trivecta. Para quien no conozca a este dj y productor, es un artista con base en Tampa, Estados Unidos. Un productor que ha bagado en el dubstep melódico, hasta llegar a definir su actual sonido, Folk Bass.

Recientemente ha lanzado su EP debut bajo el titulo de Everyday. Un proyecto que está compuesto por un total de cuatros piezas, y nos encontramos varias colaboraciones. Rico & Melia y Fagin son dos de los artistas que colaboran en este EP.

Su historial frente a la producción es muy amplio. Llegando a colaborar con grandes artistas de la escena como el mismo Excision o Seven Lions, creando grandes piezas y dejando huellas en el panorama musical actual.

Dentro de esta entrevista tratamos diferentes temas como que ha querido expresar en este EP, su formación profesional, que le supuso colaborar con grandes artistas o que nos tiene preparados para este 2020.

All Music Spain: Se aproxima un nuevo proyecto por tu parte. ¿Qué nos podremos encontrar en este EP? ¿Qué quieres expresar con este nuevo proyecto?

Trivecta: El EP gira en torno a un sonido evolucionado con tintes de Melodic Bass fusionado con elementos de Folk Indie. ¡Me gusta llamarlo ‘Folk Bass’!

A.M.S: Son más de cinco años a en el circuito de la música electrónica. ¿Anteriormente produjiste música bajo otro alias?

Trivecta: ¡Sí! Antes de Trivecta saqué unos cuantos remixes como ‘Vibe Source’. Aparte de eso, no ha habido nada más.

A.M.S: ¿Cuáles fueron los inicios de Trivecta? ¿Dejaste todo a un lado o seguiste con tus proyectos para irte adentrando poco a poco a esta gran industria?

Trivecta: Pues durante algunos años era miembro de una banda al mismo tiempo. La banda era algo muy especial para mí, así que me tomó un tiempo para desmarcarme de eso y enfocarme en el proyecto de Trivecta. Una vez que empecé a tener más shows y a conectar con cada vez más gente, me di cuenta que debía dedicar todo mi tiempo.

A.M.S: ¿Cómo ha sido la creación de este nuevo Ep? ¿Ha sido relativamente fluido de elaborar o te ha costado en algún momento determinado?

Trivecta: Toda canción tiene su serie de problemas. El EP fue muy difícil de escribir, pero a la vez muy recompensado. Es la primera vez que escribo un EP completo, así que estoy listo para una siesta de un mes, jajajaja.

A.M.S: Siempre te has decantado por un sonido muy melódico en tus producciones. ¿Qué te evoca para ti producir temas de estas características? ¿Qué quieres expresar?

Trivecta: Para mí, la música siempre ha tratado del nucleo central, que es la escritura de la canción en sí. Me encanta un buen diseño de sonido, pero normalmente para mí importa más aquello que está tras las líneas. Creo que hay millones de emociones que puedes provocar si saber trabajarlo bien.

A.M.S: Has colaborado con Excision, Seven Lions, Wooli entre otros grandes artistas. ¿Qué te ha aportado estas fusiones a tu estilo?

Trivecta: Es genial haber colaborado con artistas con tanto talento y poder de influencia. Cada uno de ellos me ha ayudado a desarrollar mi propia obra. Por ejemplo, haber trabajado con Seven Lions me ha ayudado a forjar mi propio camino y tomar mis propias influencias para crear un sonido único. Y trabajar con Wooli también me ha ayudado a ver lo que funciona bien en un ambiente de directo y con público.

A.M.S: ¿Qué nos deparará Trivecta en este 2020? ¿Alguna colaboración inesperada o algún cambio de rumbo?

Trivecta: En primer lugar tenemos este EP. Después vendrá un monton de merchandising nuevo. Y creo que en estos meses saldrán algunas colaboraciones bastante épicas!

A.M.S: Volviendo a este EP. ¿Cuál es tu preferido de todos? ¿Echas en falta algo que no hayas podido añadir a este proyecto?

Trivecta: No puedo elegir una favorita! Estoy muy orgulloso de todo este trabajo, y tengo muchísimas ganas de que esté fuera.

A.M.S: ¿Qué es lo que no te puede faltar en tu estudio a la hora de producir música?

Trivecta: El café!

A.M.S: ¿Con que artista te gustaría realizar una colaboración? 

Trivecta: Of Monsters and Men.

A.M.S: ¿Cuál es tu festival favorito? ¡Tanto para actuar como disfrutar de espectador!

Trivecta: Creo que mi favorito está aún por llegar. Tengo muchas ganas de actuar en grandes shows representando este nuevo EP, y encontraremos la manera de hacerlo.

A.M.S: Hace relativamente muy poco os reunisteis grandes productores en una especial cita, SNOPHELIA 2020, una gran reunión de amigos ¿Cómo fue ese encuentro?

Trivecta: Fue increíble! Me encantó poder conocer a todos y darle caña. Todo el grupo de Ophelia se ha convertido en grandes amistades y no podría estar más feliz por ello.

A.M.S: Y por último, si quieres dejarnos alguna reflexión/opinión sobre el tema que quieras, ¡es tu momento!

Trivecta: Simplemente, acordaos de las letras de todas las canciones cuando vuelvan los shows!

Interview with Trivecta – 2020

Trivecta: «The EP is an evolved sound of melodic bass music fused with indie folk elements. I’m calling it folk bass!»

We have the pleasure to host Sam Dobkin today, better known as Trivecta. For those who don’t know this artist, he is based on Tampa, US. A producer that has crafted a melodic Dubstep sound, to perfect it and create his ‘Folk Bass’.

He has recently released an EP called ‘Everyday’. Composed of 4 tracks and with some collaborations. Rico & Melia and Fagin are two of the artists present in the EP.

His production career experience is really wide. Having worked with artists like Excision or Seven Lions, where we heard tremendous tracks.

Inside the interview, we will review things such as his feeling when writing music, his musical knowledge process, the experience of working with big artists or his future works.

All Music Spain: A new project from you is coming soon. What can we expect to find on this EP? What do you want to express with this project?

Trivecta: The EP is an evolved sound of melodic bass music fused with indie folk elements. I’m calling it folk bass!

A.M.S: You have been on the electronic music industry for more than five years. Have you ever produced any track under another alias?

Trivecta: Yeah! Before Trivecta I put out a few remixes under the name Vibe Source. No major side projects yet.

A.M.S: How was the start of Trivecta like? Did you leave everything else aside or continued with your other projects to get inside the indudtry step by step?

Trivecta: So for a few years I was still playing in a band at the same time. The band was a really special thing for me so it took a while to finally move on and focus solely on the Trivecta project. Once I started doing more shows and connecting with fans it became clear that I had to dedicate all my time.

A.M.S: How was the EP’s creative process like? Was it majorly fluid or did you find any obstacle on the way?

Trivecta: Every song has its own set of obstacles. The EP was super difficult but also super rewarding. It was my first time doing an EP so I’m totally ready to nap for a month after this!

A.M.S: You have always focused on a melodic sound design on your productions. What feeling do these characteristics evoke on you? What message do you want to give out with your music?

Trivecta: Music for me has always been about the core songwriting. I love awesome sound design, but usually the most important thing to me is the underlying song. I think there are a million different emotions you can evoke if you really work at it.

A.M.S: You have collaborated with artists like Excision, Seven Lions, Wooli, and many other great people. How did this projects have an influence on your own style?

Trivecta: It’s been great collaborating with so many talented and influential artists. Each one helps me progress my craft further for sure. For example working with Seven Lions has really pushed me to forge my own lane and blend my own influences to create a unique sound. And working with Wooli has really helped me get a better feel for what works in a live environment with a big crowd.

A.M.S: What can we expect from Trivecta this 2020? Any unexpected collab or direction change?

Trivecta: First we’ve got this EP. Then a whole bunch of new merch. Then I think I’m gonna ride out the next few months with some epic collabs!

A.M.S: Going back to this EP. What is your favorite of this proyect? Are you missing something that you haven’t added to this project?

Trivecta: Can’t pick a favorite! I’m so proud of this whole body of work and am just so excited to have it out.

A.M.S: What is a MUST on your studio when you produce music?

Trivecta: Coffee.

A.M.S: Which artist would you like to collaborate with?

Trivecta: Of Monsters and Men.

A.M.S: What is your favourite event/festival? From an artist and spectator’s point of view!

Trivecta: I think my favorite has yet to come. I was really excited to do some big shows on the heels of this EP. But I think we’re going to find a way to make it work eventually.

A.M.S: Relatively a little time ago, a bunch of great producers met on a special date, SNOPHELIA 2020, a great friend gathering, and you were one of the attendees. How was that experience?

Trivecta: Amazing! It was so cool to get to know everybody better and just kick it. The whole Ophelia squad has become some of my best friends and I couldn’t be more stoked about it.

Aprovechamos el paso de Mike Williams por Abroadfest para realizar una entrevista tratando los temas más actuales

El joven DJ y productor Mike Williams estuvo en Barcelona recientemente para actuar en el ultimo día de Abroadfest. Reconocido por sus temas mas comerciales, toca estilos desde el future house hasta el progressive. Uno de sus últimos lanzamientos fue Make You Mine, track lanzado a través de Spinnin Records. O Dynamite, su colaboración junto a Nicky Romero, un track que volvió a revolucionar la escena.

Conseguimos charlar con él para traeros esta entrevista tratando temas tales como el impacto de la pandemia del COVID-19 a la industria o porqué Holanda posee una industria musical tan potente.

Por otro lado hablamos sobre sus trabajos más exitosos como Dynamite junto a Nicky Romero, así como sus futuros lanzamientos. Nos da también un par de consejos para los productores que están empezando y muchos más datos de interés.

Hablamos con Max y Katie, más conocidos como Koven. Charlamos con estos grandes artistas con motivo de su álbum debut «Butterfly Effect«.

Butterfly Effect está compuesto por un total de 14 piezas, en donde nos encontramos varios géneros dentro de la disciplina Bass. Todo ellos acompañada de la gran voz de Katie. Sin duda uno de los grandes trabajos de este duo.

Dentro de esta entrevista hemos tratado temas como se llevó a cabo este LP, muchas incógnitas acerca de este proyecto, Koven x Pendulum, y la actual situación generada por el COVID-19 entre otros temas.

All Music Spain: Recientemente habéis lanzado Butterfly Effect, vuestro primer álbum debut. ¿Cómo ha sido el procedimiento de la creación de este álbum? ¿Cuánto tiempo os ha llevado a producirlo al completo?

Koven: El proceso creativo del álbum fue mucho más divertido de lo que esperamos.Al principio pintaba bastante desalentador, pero una vez que empezamos, vimos que teníamos muchas ideas y eso fue muy positivo. Después volvió a ser estresante cerca del final, ya que las fechas límite estaban acechando. Creemos que el proceso en total, de inicio a fin, duró aproximadamente dos años.

A.M.S: Sois uno de los dúos que más en forma está actualmente en la escena. ¿Qué esperamos de Koven este 2020? ¿Qué proyectos individuales como colaboraciones nos podéis desvelar?

Koven: Pues la verdad, viendo todo lo que está ocurriendo en el mundo ahora mismo (vaya días locos estamos viviendo) esperamos poder actuar alguna vez este 2020, teníamos preparado un gran año y, como les ha ocurrido a otras muchas personas, se ha derrumbado. Así que ahora mismo, nos estamos centrando plenamente en escribir y si nos queda libre aunque sea medio año, estaremos agradecidos. Ah, ¡y tenemos algunas colaboraciones muy buenas que no podemos nombrar!

A.M.S: Habéis evolucionado desde vuestros inicios modificando vuestro estilo hasta ahora. ¿Cuál de todas vuestras producciones es la que más satisfacción ha causado al lanzarla?

Koven: Hmm, esta es bastante difícil. Creo que nuestro primer EP oficial en conjunto, ‘Here in After’, siempre tendrá un lugar especial en nuestros corazones, especialmente temas como ‘Final Call’, por el cual nos siguen llegando algunos elogios.

A.M.S: Volviendo a Butterfly Effect. ¿Os ha faltado algún tema en especial que no hayáis podido introducir en el LP?

Koven: Sí, en cierto sentido hemos tenido suerte de tener un montón de demos e ideas que nos encantaban y no estuvieron en el primer álbum. ¡Esto quiere decir que ya tenemos el ojo puesto en el segundo álbum!

A.M.S: A vuestro parecer. ¿Qué es más especial en una canción? ¿Una vocal preciosa o una melodía mágica?

Koven: Las dos cosas tienen una importancia enorme, pero siempre puedes tener un gran track que cuente con más presencia de uno que del otro, aunque un track con ambos elementos siempre es algo especial. Esa es una de las cosas que me encantan de nuestro track ‘Missing’, la producción combinada con la vocal me parece perfecta.

A.M.S: Hace poco, Koven estuvo presente en el streaming de Pendulum con motivo de Rampage 2020, tristemente cancelado por el COVID-19. ¿Podríamos tener una colaboración Koven x Pendulum?

Koven: Uff, nos encantaría que eso sucediera, y ahora que hemos conocido a los chicos haremos todo lo que esté en nuestra mano por hacerlo posible. ¡Los sueños pueden hacerse realidad!

A.M.S: Hay una gran cantidad de artistas en la escena bass con una calidad impresionante. ¿Con quienes os gustaría colaborar en un futuro?

Koven: Honestamente no sé ni como empezar respondiendo esto, ¡porque hay muchísimos! Y sumado al hecho de que tocamos tantos palos con los géneros, la lista es infinita. Me ajustaré diciendo que tenemos algunas colaboraciones ‘soñadas’ que ya se están barajando.

A.M.S: Max, Katie. ¿Cómo os unisteis para formar Koven? ¿Producíais música en solitario antes de ser un dúo?

Koven: Estuvimos trabajando juntos alrededor de seis años y medio, y antes de eso trabajamos individualmente en la música unos cuatro años, por lo que ambos llegamos casi a la década dedicándonos a esto. Pero desde luego, unir fuerzas ha sido una de las mejores decisiones que hemos podido tomar en estos últimos 10 años.

A.M.S: Habéis visitado varias veces nuestro país, especialmente Sevilla, Andalucía. ¿Qué es lo que más os ha gustado de nuestro país? ¿Os volveremos a ver pronto por aquí?

Koven: Dios mío, el público y la energía que derrochaba era increíble, ¡lo era todo! Nos quedamos gratamente sorprendidos, y en algún momento volveremos.

A.M.S: ¿Cómo creéis que va a afectar este COVID-19 a la industria?

Koven: Realmente depende de cuánto dure esta situación. Si esto dura más de lo que esperamos, puede que algunos artistas se vayan y no vuelvan, ya que una vez que pierdes impulso a veces es muy difícil recuperarlo. También depende de lo damnificados que salgan, económicamente hablando, los promotores de grandes eventos. Puede que esta herida tarde bastante en sanar. Pero por supuesto, esto es solo mi opinión ya que nadie sabe con certeza qué va a ocurrir. Dicho esto, una vez que podamos volver a la normalidad, ¡la sensación va a ser mejor que nunca!

A.M.S: Para todos aquellos pequeños y medianos productores que se quieren hacer un hueco en la escena. ¿Qué le diríais?

Koven: La verdad es que no tengo ningún consejo en concreto para hacerse de notar, porque pienso muchas veces que la suerte juega un gran papel en estas situaciones y no hay un patrón exacto, pero mi consejo general para aquel artista pequeño o principiante, es esperar a que las cosas surjan y tener paciencia, y no desesperarse, porque algunos momentos pueden llegar a parecer una eternidad.

A.M.S: Y por último, si quieres dejarnos alguna reflexión/opinión sobre el tema que quieras, ¡es tu momento!

Koven: Querría agradecer de todo corazón a toda la gente que apoya la industria musical, comprando canciones, reproduciéndolas, comprando entradas para eventos o merchandising de vuestro artista favorito. Somos muy afortunados de tener eventos en clubs, festivales y raves, y están teniendo más relevancia en estos tiempos. ¡Mandamos un cariñoso saludo a todas esas personas que apoyan la industria en cualquiera de sus formas!

Koven: Oh man would we love that, and now we’ve met the guys we will definitely do everything in our power to make it a possibility – dreams can come true ay!

We had the chance to talk with Max and Katie, better known as Koven. We talked with these great artists about their album debut, ‘Butterfly Effect‘.

‘Butterfly Effect’ is made up of a total of 14 tracks, where we can find various Bass subgenres. All of them are perfectly accompanied by Katie’s voice. It is one of the duo’s best piece of work.

Inside this interview we have treated matters like the process of creation of the LP, the secrets of this project, Koven x Pendulum, and the actual situation created by CoVid-19 among other discussions.

All Music Spain: You recently released Butterly Effect. How was the album’s creative process? How much time did it take you to complete it?

Koven: The album creation process was way more enjoyable than we expected. It was so daunting initially but once we started, we realised we had a lot of ideas and felt pretty positive. It then got stressful again towards the end as all the deadlines started to creep in. We think the whole process start to finish was roughly two years.

A.M.S: You are one of the fittest duos of the scene. What can we expect about Koven on 2020? What new projects or collaborations can you tell us about?

Koven: Well with everything happening in the world right now (what a mad time we live in) we just hope that we get to play some shows in 2020, we had an incredible year lined up and like what happened for many people, it crumbled. So right now, we are focusing massively on writing and if we get half the year back, we will be grateful. Oh, and some collaborationswe can’t mention just yet!

A.M.S: You have been evolving since your start, changing your style until now. Which of your productions are you most proud of?

Koven: Hmm that’s so tough. I think the first official EP we did together ‘Here in After’ will always have a special place in our hearts, especially tracks like ‘Final Call’ which we still get complimented on often.

A.M.S: Going back to Butterfly Effect. Have you missed any special track you could not include on the LP?

Koven: Yes, we have been quite lucky to be left with lots of demos and ideas we loved that didn’t make the first album. It just means we already have a step up on album two!

A.M.S: Under your opinion, what makes a track special? A beautiful voice or a magical melody?

Koven: Absolutely both are equally important but you can have an amazing track with one and not the other, but a track with both is always something special. That’s what I love so much about our track ‘Missing’, the production combined with the vocal is just perfect to me!

A.M.S: A little time ago, Koven was in Pendulum’s stream for Rampage 2020, sadly cancelled due to CoViD-19. Is it possible to see a Koven x Pendulum collab anytime?

Koven: Oh man would we love that, and now we’ve met the guys we will definitely do everything in our power to make it a possibility – dreams can come true ay!

A.M.S: There is a big quantity of artists on the Bass scene with a huge talent. Who would you like to collaborate with in a future?

Koven: I honestly don’t even know how to begin answering this question because there are too many! And because we cross over so many genres it makes the list endless. All I’ll say is we do have a few ‘dream’ collaborations possibly already on the cards.

A.M.S: Max, Katie. How did you join to create Koven? Did you produce your tracks individually before joining forces?

Koven: We’ve worked together for about six and a half years and prior to that we both worked individually in the music industry for about four years, so we are both reaching a decade of music making. But joining forces was definitely one of the best decisions we both made in the last 10 years.

A.M.S: You have visited Spain multiple times, concretely Sevilla, in Andalusia. What did you like the most from our country? Will we see you soon around here again?

Koven: Oh my god the crowd and the energy was everything! I was blown away, we will come back anytime.

A.M.S: How do you think the CoViD-19 will affect the music industry?

Koven: It really depends how long it lasts, if it last for longer then we expect some people may quit and never return, once you lose momentum it can be difficult to gain it back. Also depending on how financially hit a lot of promoters are we may lose some big events, it could take some time to come back from all this. But of course, this is all just my opinion as no one really knows what’s going to happen. Saying this, once we can return to normality the feeling is going to be electric at these events!

A.M.S: What would you say to those small & medium producers that want to be notices on the scene?

Koven: I don’t really have any advice on being noticed because I honestly think a lot of that kind of thing is just luck and there is no real pattern to it, but my main advice to anyone small or just getting started is expect things to take a long time and don’t be disheartened if they take a long time, because honestly it can feel like forever.

BROHUG: «Creamos toda la música en un ambiente creativo donde todos nos involucramos. Todos jugamos papeles distintos en situaciones y momentos diferentes»

Ellos son unos de los artistas revelación en la escena. Entrevistamos a BROHUG, un trió de djs y productores que se han propuesto dar ese toque característico a la escena con sus producciones.

Estos suecos tienen una gran carrera a sus espaldas aunque no lo parezca. Comenzaron su andadura hace más de cuatro años lanzando sus temas a través de Good Enuff o Confession.  Su esfuerzo y trabajo ha sido reconocido por grandes de la escena como los mismisimos Swedish House Mafia.

Recientemente han lanzado 1991 junto a Kaskade y los mismo protagonistas nos adelantan varios detalles sobre próximas colaboraciones con el estadounidense. Hablamos de sus comienzos, próximos proyectos, su vuelta a Tomorrowland y mucho más.

All Music Spain: Comenzasteis vuestra andadura en la escena hace como cuatro años. ¿Cómo llegasteis a formar BROHUG?

BROHUG: Estábamos cansados del estado de la escena en su momento, y sigue igual en cierto sentido. Pensamos que los sonidos variaban demasiado poco, y fuimos esos chicos que querían mostrarle al público nuestro sonido y estilo, y como queríamos que la escena progresara.

A.M.S: Comenzasteis vuestra carrera en sellos como Confession o Good Enuff. ¿Cómo fue vuestra etapa de empezar a elaborar vuestros primeros tracks? ¿Cuándo supisteis que estabais en buen nivel?

B: Estábamos (y estamos) muy motivados y entusiasmados con la creación de este nuevo sonido. En los primeros días en el estudio, cuando nació BROHUG, sentimos que era algo muy nuevo y fresco. Nuestras sospechas se confirmaron cuando eran los sellos quienes nos buscaban, y no al revés: ¡lo que es algo que sienta genial!

A.M.S: Habéis recibido el support de otros grandes artistas suecos, Swedish House Mafia. ¿Habéis mantenido un contacto personal con ellos? ¿Cómo fue esa primera toma de contacto?

B: Tuvimos cierto contacto con ellos de forma continuada, hace mucho, muuucho tiempo, y de hecho seguimos haciéndolo.

 

A.M.S: En la escena sueca han sido muchos de los grandes artistas que han salido a la luz. ¿Cuál es vuestro artista emergente favorito sueco?

B: Es muy difícil elegir aquí… Hay muchos artistas con talento que nos encantan. Desde ABBA, a Tove Lo, Zara Larsson, Miriam Bryant, hasta Alesso. ¡Suecia es un país de talentos!

 

A.M.S: Son muchos de los tracks que habéis elaborado a lo largo de estos años. ¿Cuál es vuestra producción a la que le tenéis mas cariño?

B: Nos sigue encantando ‘If I’m Wrong’. Ese track tiene prácticamente todo lo que un buen track de Dance necesita. Una vocal buena y limpia, un drop mejor aún, buen ritmo y flow a lo largo de todo el tema.

A.M.S: Este 2020 tiene muy buenas sensaciones para vosotros. ¿Qué nos podéis desvelar de cara al futuro? ¿Qué tracks o colaboraciones teneis entre manos?

B: Hemos tenido muy buenos lanzamientos hasta ahora, y 2020 será otro gran año musicalmente hablando para nosotros. Estamos más motivados que nunca por mostraros todo lo que tenemos. Habran muchas cosas originales nuevas, así como colaboraciones. Estamos muy hypeados, ¡asi que estad atentos!

 

A.M.S: ¿Por qué el nombre de BROHUG? ¿De dónde viene?

B: Es una combinación de nuestros viejos proyectos y apodos.

 

A.M.S: Tenéis un propio sello discográfico, Brohouse Music. ¿Cuál es vuestro objetivo con este proyecto este año?

B: Brohouse Music es un sello para esos artistas que no tienen miedo de ser originales y fieles a su propio sonido. Este año desarrollaremos aún más el sello y continuaremos con nuestros rasgos; cercanos a los artistas, humildes y reales. De eso se trata.

A.M.S: ¿Cómo es vuestra manera de producir? ¿Cada uno tenéis un cometido en concreto a la hora de elaborar un tema? ¿O simplemente hacéis un brainstorming y a partir de ahí vais elaborando?

B: Creamos toda la música en un ambiente creativo donde todos se involucran. Todos jugamos papeles diferentes en situaciones y momentos diferentes. Todos creamos, pensamos y motivamos.

 

A.M.S:¿Os ha supuesto algún problema el hecho de ser tres integrantes para pinchar en festival?

B: Nunca. Nos encanta actuar en festivales y siempre han hecho un gran trabajo para acomodarnos y cuidarnos.

 

A.M.S: Habéis colaborado recientemente con Kaskade de nuevo para producir 1990. ¿Tenéis en mente otras colaboraciones con grandes artistas de la escena?

B: De hecho hay unos cuantos temas muy interesantes en los que estamos trabajando ahora mismo. Veréis mucho más este año.

A.M.S: Este año volvéis a Tomorrowland. ¿Qué os supone a nivel personal poder pinchar en este gran festival?

B: Siempre ha sido un sueño y una meta. Es un sentimiento genial saber que este año volvemos. Somos muy humildes y nos alegra mucho poder mostrarle al mundo lo que tenemos listo en Tomorrowland.

 

A.M.S: ¿Cual ha sido vuestro bolo en el que más habéis disfrutado y por qué?

B: Nos encantan los shows en clubs. Esa cercanía y posibilidad de intimar tanto con el público es increíble.

 

A.M.S: Y por último chicos, si queréis dejarnos alguna reflexión/opinión sobre el tema que queráis, ¡es vuestro momento!

B: Todo se basa en el amor a la música, somos BROHUG, ¡y nuestro viaje acaba de empezar! Para todos los que nos seguís la pista, ¡tenemos muchas ganas de veros en cualquier lugar del mundo!

Interview with BROHUG

BROHUG: »We create all our music in a creative environment where everyone is involved. We all play different roles on different situations and different moments.»

They are one of the revelation artists of the actual scene. We have interviewed BROHUG, a DJ/Producer trio with a clear proposal: bring their touch to the scene with their productions.

These Swedish artists have a great career behind them although it may not look like it. They started on this more than four years ago, releasing tracks on labels such as Good Enuff or Confession. Their work and effort has been supported by titans like Swedish House Mafia.

Recently, they released ‘1996’ together with Kaskade and they will unveil us some details about future collabs with the American. We will talk about their beginnings, future projects, their return to Tomorrowland and many more things.

All Music Spain: Your career on the industry started like four years ago. How did you come up with the idea of Brohug?

BROHUG: We were tired of how the music scene was and still is in some cases. We felt the sound had stood still for too long, and we wanted to be the guys to show the crowd our future sound and style, and how we wanted the scene to progress.

 

A.M.S: You had some early releases on labels like Confession or Good Enuff. How were your first track producing phases like? How did you know you reached a good level?

B: We were and still are super motivated and hyped up about creating this new sound. During the first days in the studio, when BROHUG was born, we felt this was totally new and fresh. Our thoughts were confirmed when the labels started reaching out to us and not the other way around; which was a really nice feeling!

 

A.M.S: Why did you choose ‘BROHUG’ as your name? Where did it come from?

B: It’s a combination between our old projects and nicknames.

 

A.M.S: You received some support from big Swedish artists, like Swedish House Mafia. Have you had any personal contact with them? How was that first approach like?

B: We have had a contact with them for a long time, waaaaay back, and still connect with them today.

 

A.M.S: The Swedish scene has seen a lot of big artists come up. Can you tell us your favourite Swedish artist?

B: Hard to pick and choose here! There are some really talented artists right now that we really like. From ABBA, to Tove Lo, Zara Larsson, Miriam Bryant, to Alesso. Sweden is a really talented country!

 

A.M.S: You have released a lot of tracks along these years. Which is your preferred track and why?

B: We still like “If I’m Wrong” a lot. That track has almost everything a good dance track needs to have. Nice clean vocal, sweet drop, nice rhythm and flow through the whole song.

 

A.M.S: 2020 is really looking good for you. What can you tell us about the future? Any collaboration or tracks you can tell us about?

B: We have releases a lot of music past years, 2020 will be another year for music from us. We are more motivated than ever to show you all what we have. There is going be a lot of our own originals, but also some interesting collaborations as well. We are excited, so stay tuned in!

 

A.M.S: You have your own music label, called Brohouse Music. What are your objectives with it this year?

B: Brohouse Music is the label for all the talented artists out there that are not afraid of being original and true to their own sound. This year we will build the label even more and continue with our known traits; close to the artists, humble and real is what its all about.

 

A.M.S: What is your way to produce your tracks? Each of you assume a role when you work or you simply do a brainstorming and work from there?

B: We create all the music in a creative environment where everyone is involved. We all play different roles for different situations and times. We all create, brainstorm and motivate.

 

A.M.S: Have you had any trouble or issue to play at any festival for being three people?

B: Never, we love playing festivals and everyone does a great job to accommodate and take care of us.

 

A.M.S: You recently collaborated with Kaskade to create ‘1990’. Have you got any other big collab on your mind?

B: There are a few really interesting ones we are currently working on. You will see more to come this year.

 

A.M.S: You are returning to Tomorrowland this year! What are your personal feelings about this?

B: It has always been a dream and goal. It’s a great feeling that we are coming back this year. We are humble and super excited to show the world what we have for this year during Tomorrowland.

 

A.M.S: What is your preferred gig, and why?

B: We really like club shows. To be close and intimate with the crowd is such a nice feeling!

Julian Calor: «Me costó como unos 5 años trabajar y coger la confianza suficiente para mandarle mi música a sellos grandes»

Julian Calor comenzó su carrera profesional hace seis años, pero cuando realmente dio el gran paso a la escena fue con sus lanzamientos en Revelead Record, sello discográfico de Hardwell. Fue entonces cuando lanzó Space Dial en Talent Revealed 2, ese fue su pequeño trampolín hacia la gran escena. Pero fue realmente cuando sus singles Typhoon y Storm revolucionaron la escena y se puso en boca de todos.

Con el apoyo de Hardwell siguió cosechando grandes producciones actuando en grandes festivales en 2014 como Tomorrowland o Creamfields. Quizás su tema Cell puede ser su tema más representativo. Tema que fue Athem de Ultra Music Festival durante nada más y nada menos que cuatro años.

Con el paso del tiempo, Julian ha ido experimentando hacia otros estilo, desplazándose actualmente hacia el bass.

All Music Spain: Empezaste a una temprana edad a lanzar tracks. ¿Cómo empezaste en el mundo de la música electrónica?

Julian Calor: Me costó como unos 5 años trabajar y coger la confianza suficiente para mandarle mi música a sellos grandes, y por suerte muchos de ellos respondieron positivamente a mi música. Aunque realmente, el inicio de mi carrera lo marca el hecho de que Hardwell hiciera sonar mi música y me diera una plataforma donde lanzar mis primeros temas.

A.M.S: ¿Cuál fue esa sensación cuando Ultra Music Festival te pidió usar Cell para ser el Festival Anthem?

J.C: La verdad es que fue un sentimiento de honor muy grande, porque siempre veía todos los livestreams desde que empezó y me inspiraban un montón para trabajar incluso más duro, por lo que tener mi tema como el Anthem del livestream durante 4 años se sintió muy especial. ¡Ahora me falta actuar yo mismo allí algún día!

A.M.S: Eres un artista muy polifacético, ¿Qué estilo te resulta más difícil de producir?

J.C: Me he probado con muchos estilos, y a mi parecer el Drum & Bass es el más difícil de llevar a cabo. Requiere un montón de conocimientos de diseño de sonido para hacer un track interesante, y yo me considero más un productor melódico que técnico.

Quizás este se considere un punto de inflexión en tu carrera

A.M.S: Comenzaste muy fuerte en Revealed Records, llegaste a ser uno de los productores que revolucionó la escena en aquellos años. ¿Cómo fue esa relación con Hardwell?

J.C: Hardwell me dio mucha cancha lanzando varios de mis temas bajo su sello, Revealed, por lo que siempre le estaré agradecido por ello.

A.M.S: ¿Cuál consideras que es tu mejor producción de todos estos años?

J.C: Esta es algo difícil… porque cada medio año o así cambio de opinión. Por ahora, podría decir que ‘Dream Odyssey’ y ‘You Might Get Lost’ están en mi top personal.

A.M.S: ¿Qué sentiste cuando pinchaste por primera vez en un festival o un gran evento? ¿Cuál fue ese momento?

J.C: La primera vez que subí al escenario de un gran evento fue durante el set de Hardwell en el ADE de 2013, cuando me subió con él al escenario para poner uno de mis temas, ‘Typhoon’. Cuando fui al evento yo no tenía ni idea de que mi tema sonaría delante de miles de personas y a través de un streaming. Su manager me envió un mensaje diciéndome que subiera al escenario media hora antes de que eso ocurriera. A día de hoy lo sigo considerando una de las experiencias más excitantes de mi vida.

A.M.S: En estos últimos años has enfocado más tu estilo sobre el bass. ¿Con que estilo te gustaría aventurarte o quizás fusionar?

J.C: Me encanta combinar estilos del Bass con mi estilo melódico. Muchos de mis seguidores me piden que produzca un tema de Eurobeat, y puede que eso suceda en un futuro.

A.M.S: Hace algo más de dos meses que lanzaste “Dream Odyssey EP”. ¿Qué proyecto nos puedes desvelar de cara al futuro?

J.C: Este año pretendo centrarme en música más ‘bailable’. Con ritmos de 4/4, pero con graves inspirados en subgéneros del Bass, y melodías inspiradas en el Progressive House. No lo podría calificar como Future House, pero algo nuevo y parecido. ¡Tengo muchas ganas!

Ahora queremos preguntarte de cara a la producción. Un punto muy importante en un artista

 

A.M.S: ¿Qué es lo que mas te gusta y que es lo que detestas a la hora de producir?

J.C: Empezar un tema nuevo es la mejor parte. Ver como las piezas van encajando es un sentimiento genial, pero la peor parte viene cuando queda ese 1% del track para estar completo. Puede llevar mucho tiempo conseguir el mixdown perfecto.

A.M.S: ¿Con que artista te gustaría realizar una colaboración en la actualidad?

J.C: Joyryde, Skrillex, Porter Robinson (o Virtual Self en su defecto).

A.M.S: Todo artista tiene un momento de inspiración o quizás un lugar para componer. ¿Cuál es el tuyo?

J.C: Me he estado dando cuenta de que me inspiro más por las mañanas. Para mí ese es el momento idóneo para escribir ideas nuevas para temas, y pienso que el lugar no importa tanto, aunque te puedo decir que hay veces que cuando vuelvo al estudio después de un viaje, estoy muy inspirado (sobre todo cuando visito países asiáticos, porque la cultura de esos lugares me resulta muy enriquecedora).

A.M.S: ¿Qué artista emergente crees que tiene un gran potencial y va a dar que hablar este 2020?

J.C: Sin duda, Todd Helder. Ha estado lanzando música ya unos cuantos años, pero su estilo es muy innovador y de ahí solo pueden salir cosas buenas en los próximos años.

A.M.S: Si no nos equivocamos viniste una vez a nuestro país, más concretamente a Barcelona. ¿Te volveremos a ver pronto por España?

J.C: Esa noche en Barcelona fue memorable, desde luego. Recuerdo haber actuado allí junto a Sick Individuals, y espero de corazón volver a España tan pronto sea posible, cuando haya lanzado mi música nueva.

A.M.S: Y por último Julian Calor, si quieres dejarnos alguna reflexión/opinión sobre el tema que tu elijas, ¡es tu momento!

J.C: La verdad es que me siento muy optimista con el futuro de la música electrónica. En 2019 hemos visto que los productores se han enfocado mucho en la innovación y la calidad. Artistas como Joyryde están expandiendo los límites con su estilo, y productores grandes como Flume y Madeon la siguen rompiendo con sus álbumes. En general, pienso que tras la explosión de la ‘burbuja del EDM’, los artistas se están dando cuenta de que ser diferente y creativo es el paso a tener una longevidad en la escena, y yo estoy dispuesto a ello.

Interview with Julian Calor

Julian Calor: ‘It took me like five years to work and get enough self-confidence to send my music to big labels.’

Julian Calor started his professional career six years ago, but his big hits came with his releases on Revealed Records, Hardwell’s music label. It was then when he released Space Dial, on Talent Revealed 2. That was his trampoline to the big scene. But it was with ‘Typhoon’ and ‘Storm’ when the scene was shaken and he was on everyone’s mouth.

With Hardwell’s support, he kept achieving big productions and acting on great festivals, such as Tomorrowland or Creamfields. We could say that ‘Cell’ is his most representative track, which was Ultra Music Festival’s anthem for a great four years.

As time kept on going, Julian has been experimenting towards other styles, focusing on Bass lately.

Without more hesitation, we’ll show you our first interview with Julian Calor!

 

A.M.S: You started releasing tracks at a short age. How was your start in the electronic music industry?

J.C: I think it took me about 5 years to build up the confidence to send my tracks to big labels, and fortunately a lot of them responded positively on my music! But the real start of my career began when Hardwell picked up my music and gave me a platform to release my first few tracks.

A.M.S: Can you describe us the feeling you got when Ultra Music Festival asked you to use ‘Cell’ as their Festival Anthem?

J.C: I felt really honoured, because I’ve watched all of the livestreams since it began and it always gave me huge inspiration and motivation to work harder. So having my track featured as the livestream anthem for 4 years already feels really special. Now I hope to play there myself one day.

A.M.S: You are a polivalent artist, but which style/genre is harder for you to produce?

J.C: I’ve tried a lot of styles, and I think drum and bass is the hardest to make. It requires a lot of sound design knowledge to make an interesting DnB track, and I consider myself more a melodic producer than a technical.

Maybe this is considered a turning point in your career

A.M.S: You made a noticeable start on Revealed Records, being an artist that shook the scene on the first years. How was your relationship with Hardwell?

J.C: Hardwell gave me my first break by releasing a lot of my tracks under his Revealed label, and I’ll always be thankful to him for that.

A.M.S: Which of your own releases is considered your favorite?

J.C: That’s a hard one, because It changes every half year or so. But for now ‘Dream Odyssey’ and ‘You Might Get Lost’ are up there.

A.M.S: How did you feel the first time you went on stage on a big festival or event? Which was it?

J.C: The first time I ever went on stage was during Hardwell’s ADE set in 2013, when he took me on stage during his set to play my track Typhoon. When I went to the event, I didn’t even knew he was going to play my track for thousands of people and a livestream. His manager sent me a text message to get to the stage, 30 minutes before it happened. I still see it as one of the most insane experiences of my life.

A.M.S: You have focused a little more on Bass subgenres lately. Would you like to meet another style?

J.C: I really love to combine bass styles with my melodic style. A lot of my fans are asking me to make an Eurobeat track, and that might happen in the future.

A.M.S: “Dream Odyssey EP” arrived to us a little more than two months ago. Can you tell us about any future project?

J.C: I will be focussing more on ‘danceable’ tracks this year. So with a 4/4 rhythm, but with bass inspired by the bass genres, and melodies on top inspired by progressive house. I wouldn’t call it future house, but something new. Excited!

Now we want to ask you about production. A very important point in an artist

A.M.S: What is your most and least preferred part when it comes to producing music?

J.C: Starting a new track is the most fun. Seeing a piece of music coming together is a great feeling. The least favourite part is the finishing last 1% of the track, it can take ages to make the mixdown perfect.

A.M.S: Is there any artist you would like to collaborate with nowadays?

J.C: Joyryde, Skrillex, Porter Robinson (or his Virtual Self alias).

A.M.S: Every artist tends to have an exact moment of inspiration, or a place where work flows better. Can you tell us about yours?

J.C: I’ve noticed that I get inspired most often in the morning. Thats the moment to write down new ideas for tracks. I think the place doesn’t matter that much. Although I can also get really inspired when coming back to the studio after being on a trip. (mostly when coming back from countries in Asia, as I think the cultures over there are really inspiring).

A.M.S: Do you think there is any upcoming artist that will be considered ‘one to watch’ this year?

J.C: Definitely Todd Helder. He has been releasing music for a couple of years already, but his style is very innovative and I can only see it growing in next few years.

A.M.S: We remember that Barcelona was one of the last Spanish cities you played in. Will we be able to see you soon in our country?

J.C: Barcelona was definitely a memorable night. I remember playing there together with Sick Individuals. I’m hoping to come back to Spain as soon as possible when my new batch of music has been released.

A.M.S: To finish the interview, we would love to know your thoughts/advices/opinion related to the industry. Tell us what you want!

J.C: I’m feeling very optimistic about the future of electronic music. In 2019 we’ve seen a lot of focus on innovation and quality by producers. Artists like for example Joyryde are pushing boundaries within their style. And big producers like Flume and Madeon are still killing it with their new albums. Overall, I think after the great burst of the ‘EDM bubble’, producers are starting to notice that being different and creative is the path to longevity in the electronic music scene and I’m all in for it.

Charlamos tendido con Stadiumx, «Siempre intentamos crear algo único y mostrar que somos buenos productores»

Primera entrevista de este 2020. Nuestros invitados en esta ocasión son Stadiumx. Este dúo inició su carrera hace seis años, para aventurarse en un estilo que les hizo saltar a la fama con un single que dio la vuelta al mundo. Howl At The Moon se convirtió en todo un tema icónico para el Progressive House, y a raiz de aquí estos artistas crecieron hasta la actualidad.

Zsolt y David nos responden nuestras preguntas. Al final de esta entrevista os podéis encontrar un mix exclusivo por parte de Stadiumx de una hora. A continuación os dejamos tanto la entrevista en español como en inglés.

All Music Spain: Vuestra carrera musical comenzó hace seis años. ¿Teníais alguna profesión u ocupación antes de la creación de StadiumX? ¿Qué motivos os impulsaron a hacerlo?

Zsolt: Yo me gradué en telecomunicaciones pero siempre me interesó el mundo del diseño gráfico. Aun así la música siempre me ha acompañado desde los 14 años. Hice mi primer lanzamiento a los 16 así que desde entonces intenté poner más y más empeño a la hora de producir. También hacía rodajes y fotografía pero llegó un momento en el que tuve que decidir qué camino seguir. Así que sí, StadiumX lleva existiendo 6 años pero produciendo música como tal… harán unos 14-15 años.

David: Yo obtuve mi graduado en Recursos Humanos en 2016 así que eso es lo que considero mi ocupación oficial. Antes de eso siempre andaba liado con la música, desde el instituto y la primaria incluso, así que la música también estuvo desde el principio. Hace 10 años gané un concurso de Remixes, también hice ghost-producing para otros artistas y trabajé en muchas canciones de Pop como productor. A Zsolt lo conozco hace muchos años, por lo que hace 6 decidimos formar un dúo en el que trabajar nuestros proyectos juntos y poner nuestro tiempo y energía para crear un perfil conjunto.

A.M.S: Podemos considerar ‘Howl At The Moon’ como vuestro mayor éxito. ¿Cuánto tiempo os llevó crear el track? ¿Qué pretendíais transmitir con él?

Zsolt: Es difícil considerar una canción como ‘la más top’ porque a día de hoy existe música independiente para clubs, canciones para radio o canciones para Spotify. Aun así, todos estamos de acuerdo en que ‘Howl At The Moon’ fue la insignia de StadiumX y la mayoría de la gente, los fans y otros DJs nos conocieron por ese tema.

David: Nos llevó varios meses hacernos con la idea final. Tuvimos muchas versiones previas hasta que encontramos el sonido ideal. Realmente nos gustó la idea que Taylr Renee hizo, así que quisimos crear algo único y diferente al resto de temas que habían por entonces.

A.M.S: Dejasteis el progressive que os caracterizaba y “desaparecisteis” de la escena. ¿Qué ocurrió? O más bien, ¿Cuál fue el motivo de orientar vuestros temas hacia otro estilo?

Zsolt: Como mencioné antes, la gente conoce a StadiumX  hace ya 6 años, pero nosotros llevamos en la industria mucho más tiempo. Más de una década. Si llevas tanto tiempo produciendo música te das cuenta de que necesitas crear nuevos sonidos, ideas y visiones porque te puedes estancar en tus propios límites y pierdes creatividad al repetir la misma fórmula una y otra vez. Nuestro sonido característico cuajó porque sonaba fresco, por lo que siempre intentamos traer algo nuevo, que no se haya hecho hasta ahora, y hacerlo a nuestra manera.

David: Es muy común que la gente te encasille en cuanto empiezan a conocer tu sonido. Como artista es muy difícil salir de esa cuadrícula y traer nuevas, especialmente para la audiencia que ya te conoce por alguna canción o remix que les gustase. Siempre intentamos crear algo único y mostrar que somos buenos productores.

A.M.S: Parece que el Progressive está volviendo a tener un papel importante en la escena desde la segunda mitad del año. ¿Creéis que cobrará más importancia aún en 2020?

Zsolt: Yo creo que el Progressive House nunca ha abandonado la escena del todo, aunque sí que tuvo su pico en 2014-2016. Por entonces ese sonido alcanzó su límite y empezó a convertirse en algo distinto. Siempre es difícil adivinar lo que vendrá pero siempre tratamos de investigar e innovar para los meses siguientes e incluso años, pero lo que está por venir lo llamamos Future Progressive.

David: Siempre es difícil decir qué géneros van y vienen, pero las emociones y los sentimientos que evocan son mucho más importantes que las etiquetas de género

A.M.S: Hace poco lanzasteis ‘Where Are You Now’, que apunta bien alto en las listas. ¿Cuáles son vuestros siguientes proyectos? ¿Alguna colaboración en la mirilla?

Zsolt: ¡Sí! Hemos recibido muy buen feedback en la canción y nos encanta. Nos encanta ponerla allá donde actuamos y la reacción del público es genial. ¡Tenemos un montón de música en el saco que irá viendo la luz próximamente!

David: Sí, tenemos un nuevo lanzamiento este mes de diciembre y ya estamos planificando la agenda de lanzamientos para 2020. También hay remixes y colaboraciones de por medio, ¡pero no podemos decir más!

A.M.S: ¿Cómo describiríais la escena en Hungría?

Zsolt: Empezamos por el hecho de que Hungría no es un país muy grande. Teniendo en cuenta que su población es de 10 millones, la escena y la industria como tal no es muy fuerte, especialmente comparándola con Holanda, España o Francia. Tenemos grandes festivales en verano, como por ejemplo Sziget, que yo pienso que es un gran festival.

David: Ahora mismo estamos realizando un tour por toda Hungría, y hemos decidido guardar más fechas para el año que viene. El público es genial y siempre nos divertimos mucho cuando actuamos allí. Además, en verano hay muy buenos festivales, como ha dicho Sully.

A.M.S: Si pudierais colaborar con algún artista o artistas… ¿quién sería?

Zsolt: Hay una gran cantidad de artistas con mucho talento, pero es muy difícil quedarse con tan sólo unos nombres, sobre todo si hablamos no sólo de productores, también de cantantes y compositores. Tuvimos el privilegio de trabajar con David Guetta como co-productores en un tema, pero nos gustaría mucho hacer un tema juntos. Creemos que el ambiente que da a sus proyectos a día de hoy es increíble.

David: Yo soy un gran fan de Axwell y de hecho él fue el primer artista en el que me fijé cuando empecé a hacer mis pinitos como DJ. ¡Sería genial!

A.M.S: ¿Cómo es vuestra relación con Nicky Romero? ¿Cómo os conocisteis?

Zsolt: Yo ya conocía a Nikcy antes de que existiera StadiumX pero de artista a artista. De hecho, fue el primero que reaccionó a ¡Howl At The Moon’ cuando lo mandamos a su sello, Protocol Recordings. De verdad que no puedo describir lo agradecidos que estamos con él por creer en el potencial de nuestro sonido y apoyarnos a lo largo del camino.

David: Es un gran productor y siempre que podemos tratamos de hablar con él, tanto de su música, como de la escena, nuevas ideas, etc… ¡De verdad que es un genio creativo!

A.M.S: ¿Hay alguna actuación que recordéis con especial cariño? ¿Y cuál consideráis vuestro público más especial?

David: Nuestro primer show como StadiumX fue en Pacha Ibiza en 2014. Ese fue un momento muy especial para nosotros y para Pacha, y siempre tendrá un lugar muy especial en nuestro corazón por esa misma razón, por no hablar de su historia, sus vibras… es un club increíble.

Zsolt: Como público es difícil decantarse, pero podría decir que el público de Tomorrowland estos 2 últimos años ha sido muy especial.

A.M.S: Visitasteis Medusa Festival aquí en España por primera vez este año. ¿Qué tal fue la experiencia en nuestro país? ¿Y vuestras opiniones sobre el festival?

Zsolt: Ya teníamos conocimiento del festival porque otros DJs de la escena que conocemos nos habían hablado de él. Fue un auténtico honor actuar en el Protocol Stage, si no también en el Mainstage por primera vez, y nos divertimos muchísimo. ¡Estamos deseando volver a España!

David: ¡A nosotros nos encantó tanto el público como la atmósfera¡ Por eso mismo estamos deseando volver en un futuro.

English Interview: We chatted with Stadiumx, «We always try to create something unique and show that we are good producers»

All Music Spain: You started your career six years ago. Did you have any occupation before the existence of Stadiumx? What were the reasons behind the idea?

Zsolt: I’ve graduated from high school as an IT professional but I was always more into graphic and motion design. Nevertheless since I was 14 music was always there for me. I had my first release at age 16 so I’ve tried to put more and more energy into producing music. I did filming and photography as well later but I had to decide which territory I want to continue. So yes, Stadiumx exists for 6 years but we’re producing music for more than 14-15 years now.

David: I’ve got my diploma in HR in 2016 so that’s what I consider as my official occupation. Before I was a music major in high school and elementary school as well so music was always there from the beginning. 10 years ago I won a remix competition, I also did ghost pproduction for other artists and working on many pop songs as well as producer. We knew each other with Zsolt for many years so 6 years ago we decided to form a duo where we can work on songs together put our time and energy into a profile we do together.

A.M.S: We can consider ‘Howl At The Moon’ as your biggest hit. How long did it take you to create the track? What did you want to transmit with it?

Zsolt: It’s hard to define a song as “biggest” because these days music exists independently as songs for clubs, songs for radio or songs for spotify. However we all agree on that “Howl At The Moon” was the first released song for Stadiumx and most of the people, fans, DJs started to know us because of that song.

David: It took us several months to came up with the final idea. We had many previous versions until we found the final sound. We really liked the song idea that Taylr Renee did so we wanted to do something really unique and different than the other songs out there at that time.

A.M.S: You took a step apart from your characteristic progressive sound and it felt like a ‘wipe out’ from the scene. What happened? Or to be exact, what where the reasons why you focused your music towards other styles?

Zsolt: Just as I mentioned people know Stadiumx for 6 years but we are in the industry for a much longer decade. If you are producing music for that long you have to realize you need new sounds, ideas, vision from time to time because you can get stuck into your own borders and you’re losing creative input repeating the same thing over and over again. Our signature progressive sound got picked up because it sounded fresh so we always try to do something what’s not out there already and do it in our way.

David: It’s a very common thing that the people put you into a box as soon as they start to know you and your sound. As an artist it’s really hard to get out from this box and come up with new ideas expecially for the audience who already know you because of a song or a remix they liked. We try to do everything we feel unique and show that we’re good producers.

A.M.S: It seems like Progressive is taking a big role in the scene since the half of this year. Do you think it will step even higher on 2020?

Zsolt: I think progressive house has never left the scene however it was on it’s peak during 2014-2016. At that time the sound reached it’s limit and started to became something else. It’s always hard to tell what’s coming up next but there’s something we dig in the last few months or a year or so and we call it future progressive.

David: It’s always hard to tell which genre goes where but feelings and emotions are more important in the songs then to categorize the genre itself

A.M.S: You have recently released ‘Where Are You Now, which is aiming really high on the charts. What are going to be your next projects? Any new collaboration?

Zsolt: Yes, we’ve great support on the song which is awesome! We love to play the song everywhere and the reaction from the crowd is amazing! We have so many new music coming up.

David: Yes, there’s one new release in December and we already doing the release plan for 2020. Some remixes and collabs as well but let’s keep those in secret!

A.M.S: How would you describe the scene in Hungary?

Zsolt: Hungary is not a big country. With it’s 10 million populity the club scene and the music industry is not that strong especially if you compare it to Holland, Spain or France. We have great festivals during the summer season, for example Sziget, I think that’s a great festival.

David: We’re doing our Hungarian tour at the moment as well but we’ve decided to play more in Hungary next year. The crowd is great and we have fun time always playing here. And during summer season there are good festivals just as Sully said.

A.M.S: If you could choose to collaborate with any artist(s)… Who would it be?

Zsolt: There are so many talented artists out there but it’s hard to pick just a few names. Especially if we not just talk about producers but singers or songwriters as well. We had a privilage to work with him as a co-producer on a song before but I’d be super happy to do a collab track as well with David Guetta, I think the club stuff he’s doing right now is amazing.

David: I’m a very big fan of Axwell and he was the first artist I picked up when I started to DJing. Woud be awesome!

A.M.S: You visited Medusa Festival on Spain for the first time this year. How was your experience in our country? What are your thoughts about the festival?

Zsolt: We know Medusa festival already because he heard about it from other DJs in the scene. It was a honour to play not just at the Protocol stage but at the main stage as well as first time at the festival. We had so much fun and we can’t wait to come back to Spain!

David: We loved the crowd and the whole athmosphere! Looking forward to coming back in the future!

A.M.S: How is you relationship with Nicky Romero like? How did you guys meet?

Zsolt: I knew Nicky before Stadiumx but just as artist to artist. He was the first who reacted on “Howl At The Moon” when we’ve sent it to his label, Protocol Recordings. I can’t really describe how thankful we are for him and for the label for believing in the song and the sound and supporting us during our yourney.

David: He’s a great producer and we always take the opportunity to talk to him about music and the scene, new ideas, new visions. He’s a great input in creative talk!

A.M.S: What show would you remember with special love? Which crowd has been the most special for you?

David: Our first Stadiumx show ever was at Pacha Ibiza in 2014. That was a very special moment for both of us and Pacha has always a big place in our heart for the same reason. Not even mention it’s history, vibe, it’s an amazing club.

Zsolt: As crowd it’s always hard to pick one special moment but during the last 2 years Tomorrowland crowd was crazy!

Con motivo de la celebración de Animal Sound 2019, Julian Jordan nos habla sobre sus pasiones, su fuente de inspiración y sus futuros trabajos

Aún con la resaca de la entrevista a Maurice West (que puedes leer aquí) tuvimos oportunidad de compartir tiempo con otro de los headliners de la pasada edición de Animal Sound: Julian Jordan, artista encasillado en la escena EDM con un largo recorrido a sus espaldas  y que ahora disfruta de una muy fructífera etapa en STMPD Records, sello fundado por el mismísimo Martin Garrix.

Julian Jordan nos brindó parte de su tiempo para analizar las claves de la industria, cuál es su mayor fuente de inspiración, sus hobbies e incluso dejarnos pistas sobre los próximos trabajos que podremos escuchar. All Music Spain: ¿Alguna vez imaginaste que tu carrera llegaría a este punto cuando empezaste a crear música?

Julian Jordan: Bueno, es importante saber que en todos los negocios no hay que basarse solo en ser exitoso. Yo nunca pensé que nada de esto ocurriría, y simplemente lo hice porque puse amor y pasión en ello, y yo creo que es lo único que realmente importa y te hace ser realmente exitoso, cuando pones todo sobre la mesa, toda tu energía. Pienso que es algo que viene solo, ¿sabes? No es algo en lo que debas obcecarte porque así podrás hacer lo que quieras… Cuando solo quieres ser exitoso tomas decisiones que realmente no quieres, y cuando haces lo que de verdad te apetece, es cuando realmente uno se siente libre y exitoso.

 

All Music Spain: ¿Has tenido alguna inspiración que te ayudase a crear música?

Julian Jordan: Para mí, DJ Tiësto siempre es mi mayor inspiración. Hace tiempo que lo vi actuar por primera vez y a día de hoy sigue inspirándome. Cuando lo veo, le veo lleno de energía positiva, y siempre feliz, dedicado a su música y a sus sesiones, y me encanta verlo y sobre todo me encantaría ser así con su edad, así que solo puedo sentir respeto por él porque ha abierto muchas puertas para gente como yo, y es una de las razones por las que el EDM es tan exitoso por el mundo.

 

A.M.S: ¿Qué te gusta hacer en tu tiempo libre, entre aviones y bolos?

Julian Jordan: Para ser honesto, pienso que mi vida social es muy importante así que me gusta estar con mis amigos, mi familia y mi pareja todo el tiempo posible. También me gusta hacer deporte, sobre todo el kickboxing… ¡me gusta un montón! Intento hacerlo todas las semanas, al menos dos veces, es algo que me ayuda mucho a aclarar mi cabeza, pero siendo honestos mi vida social es lo más importante para mi, asi que en cuanto tengo hueco intento mantenerme en contacto con los míos.

 

A.M.S: ¿Como fue el proceso para tu firma con STMPD Records?

Julian Jordan: Fue bastante natural, porque yo ya estuve trabajando con los chicos de STMPD Records bastante tiempo antes, algunos de ellos incluso durante toda mi carrera, por lo que siempre estaba en contacto con ellos, así que ni ellos se pusieron en contacto conmigo, ni yo con ellos, simplemente fue una decisión muy natural para mí, porque conozco a esta gente durante mucho tiempo y son muy entregados en su trabajo, por lo que fue una decisión muy fácil de tomar.

 

A.M.S: ¿Estás planeando lanzar algo nuevo sobre lo que nos puedas hablar?

Julian Jordan: Va a salir un pack exclusivo de remixes a ‘To The Wire’, y hay unos cuantos DJs que han hecho un gran trabajo, ¡por lo que estoy muy entusiasmado! También hay en camino un montón de temas con elementos más oldschool, ese estilo, también otros más parecidos a ‘To The Wire’, pero este año ha sido brutal para mi. Realmente he sentido que he tenido la oportunidad de mostrar al Julian Jordan del siguiente nivel y… siendo honestos, ¡esto es sólo el principio de lo que puedo hacer este año y va a ser brutal! Así que me muero de ganas de enseñarle a todo el mundo lo que tengo en mente y lo que voy a soltar este año.

 

A.M.S: ¿Cuál es el mayor obstáculo que te has encontrado a la hora de empezar un proyecto nuevo?

Julian Jordan: Yo creo que el mayor obstáculo siempre es uno mismo. Tienes que encontrar un momento en el que te sientas completamente libre, en el que no tengas nada en lo que pensar y solamente quieras crear música. Cuando voy al estudio y pienso »vale, voy a hacer un pedazo de hit ahora mismo, voy a crear una gran melodía», nunca va a funcionar. Cuando voy al estudio con un espacio en blanco y listo para todo es cuando mejor me sale todo, así que sí, el obstáculo más grande eres tú mismo.

 

A.M.S: ¿Algún consejo para futuros talentos?

Julian Jordan: Yo diría que habría que asegurarse de saber muchísimas cosas, que a día de hoy es fácil gracias a Internet. Asegúrate de estar aquí no solo por la fama, por el lado glamuroso, porque todo eso es irrelevante. Puede parecer que eso es todo pero hay mucho más, así que estate alerta de todo. Todos los peligros, todo lo que te va a suceder. Obviamente debes enfrentarlos porque no llegarás a ningún sitio sin fallar, pero si de verdad te gusta y quieres hacerlo, creo que eso es lo más importante, así que ve y asegúrate de volcar toda tu pasión en ello. Creo que eso es todo lo que importa.

 

A.M.S: Para finalizar, nos gustaría saber: ¿cuál es tu hito personal preferido?

Julian Jordan: Creo que claramente sería la primera vez que actué en el Mainstage de Ultra Music Festival. Fue hace unos años pero siendo sincero ese fue uno de los mayores cambios en mi carrera. Recuerdo ver los streamings siendo un chavalín, y de pasar de eso a pinchar en el Mainstage, y ver los mismos edificios que veía desde mi dormitorio… yo pensaba »¡esto es una locura!» Y nunca olvidaré ese momento, así que diría que ese es uno de los mayores hitos de mi carrera.

All Music Spain: Did you imagine that your career would come up to this point when you started creating music?

Julian Jordan: Well, I think it’s important to know that that you don’t have to do this only to be successful. I never thought that this would happen, and I just did it because I put love and passion in it, and I think that’s the only thing that matters, and that’s when you get really successful, when you put everything you got in it, all your energy, and become successful by itself. I think that’s a case that comes within, you know? It’s not something you should focus on because then you can do everything you want, and.. When you wanna be successful you are gonna make decisions you don’t really want to make, and when you just do what you want, what you like, you will make choices you want to make. I think that if you do that, you are already successful.

 

 

 

 

A.M.S: Have you had any inspiration that helped you to start creating music?

Julian Jordan: For me, DJ Tiësto is always the biggest inspiration. I saw him for the first time playing and I have to say he is still an inspiration for me! When I see him, he is so full of good energy, and always like, really happy, and still really dedicated to his music and DJ sets, and I love to see that and I’d love to be like that as well when I’m his age, so I can only have respect for him because he opened so many doors for all of us guys, and he really is one of the reasons why EDM is so successful around the world. 

 

 

 

A.M.S: What do you like to do in your free time between airplaines and gigs?

Julian Jordan: To be honest, my social life is really important for me, so I like to be with my friends, family and girlfriend, and I love to do sports, I love kickboxing.. I do that a lot! Almost every week, I try to do that two times, that’s really something that clears my head, but to be honest my social life is so important, so whenever I feel like I have a spare moment I try to keep in touch with my friends.

 

 

 

A.M.S: What was the process to get signed on STMPD records?

Julian Jordan: It was really natural, because I’ve worked with the guys from STMPD for a long time, some of them even my whole career, and I always was in contact with them, so they didn’t really approach me, I didn’t really approach them, it was just a really natural choice for me, because I know these guys for such a long time and they’re so dedicated, so it was a pretty easy choice to make.

 

 

 

A.M.S: Are you planning any new release which you can tell us about?

Julian Jordan: There’s coming out a really exclusive sick remix pack for ‘To The Wire’, there’s a few DJ’s that did a really sick remix for that, so I am really excited for it! Also, there’s coming out a lot of nice tracks with oldschool elements, that kind of style, some other tracks like ‘To The Wire’, but this year has been sick for me, I really felt like I had the chance to show the next-level Julian Jordan to the world and… to be honest, for me this is just the beginning for what I am able to do this year and it is gonna bea really sick! So I can’t wait to show everyone what I’ve got in my head and what I can deliver this year.

 

 

 

A.M.S: What is the biggest obstacle you have encountered when starting a new project?

Julian Jordan: I think the biggest obstacle is always yourself. You have to find a moment where you’re completely free, you don’t have anything to think about and you just want to create music. When I go into the studio and I think ‘okay, I want to make a hit song right now, I’m gonna make a good melody’, it’s never gonna work. When I go into the studio with a blank space and I’m like ready for everything, so yeah, the biggest obstacle is hoy do you see yourself, go with a blank space and just do it.

 

 

 

A.M.S: What would be your advice for the industry newcomers?

Julian Jordan: I would say: make sure you know a lot of stuff, it’s posible to do that nowadays thanks to the Internet. Make sure to not be in it because of the fame, the glamourous side because that’s all relevant. It may look always like that but there’s so much more, so make sure to be aware of everything, every danger, everything that’s gonna happen to you. Of course you have to face it because you can’t get anywhere without failure, but if you really like it and you really and you really want to do it, I think that is the most important thing, just go and make sure you love it and put all your passion in it, that is the only thing that matters.

 

 

 

A.M.S: What is your career’s personal favourite highlight?

Julian Jordan: I think it would clearly be the first time I played on Ultra Mainstage. It’s a few years back but to be honest that is one of the biggest changes in my career. I remember watching the livestream as a young kid, and being able to play at the mainstage, and see the same buildings that I saw from my bedroom, I said ‘this is such a crazy moment! And I will never forget that moment, so I would say that is one of the highlights of my career.

 

 

 

Entrevistamos a Rezz con motivo de su nuevo álbum Certain Kind of Magic

Este pasado viernes 3 de agosto, la artista canadiense Rezz lanzaba su segundo álbum de studio titulado Certain Kind of Magic. Un álbum compuesto por ocho piezas y entre ellas varias colaboraciones.

Con motivo de este nuevo trabajo de Isabelle Rezazadeh tenemos el placer desde All Music Spain de charlar con la artista canadiense.

All Music Spain: Eres es de Niagara Falls, la misma ciudad que el jefazo de mau5trap, deadmau5. ¿Cómo fue crecer allí?

REZZ: Realmente lo disfruté. Sentí que tuve la educación más normal que cualquier niño podría tener. Básicamente salgo con amigos, voy a la escuela, ya sabes, todo eso.

All Music Spain: Tu nuevo álbum se llama Certain Kind of Magic y gira entorno hacia la brujería con títulos de temas como «Witching Hour» y «H E X.» ¿De dónde sacaste la inspiración?

REZZ: Primero se me ocurrió el título ‘Certain Kind Of Magic’. Después de hacer eso, comencé a hacer música y encajaba con el tema ‘mágico’. También me di cuenta de que la forma en que me llevo al escenario es una especie de mago en cierto modo. Parece que estoy lanzando hechizos sobre personas o algo similar … quería hacer mi próximo álbum y gira basados ​​en este entorno «.

All Music Spain: ¿Tienes algún ritual en el estudio? ¿O antes de subir al escenario?

REZZ: Una pastilla de menta o té verde antes del estudio. ¿Antes del escenario? Solo me enfoco en no morir. LMAO. No en serio, a veces me pongo tan nerviosa que necesito convencerme para que me relaje y trate de respirar normalmente.

All Music Spain: Tus fans se refieren a ti como Space Mom. ¿Cómo surgió la idea?

REZZ: Ellos mismos inventaron eso. 🙂

All Music Spain: Colaboras con nuevos artistas en el álbum como DeathPact, Kotek, Fytch y 1788-L. ¿Quiénes son estos artistas y cómo terminaste trabajando con ellos?

REZZ: Ahh, amo a todos estos productores. Normalmente los conocozca de ellos a través de los fans que me dicen: «Mira este artista. ¡Te gustarán!» Kotek en realidad me entregó un USB en mi show una vez y escuché la música y me gustó, luego colaboré. Me acerco a ellos individualmente, enviamos ideas de ida y vuelta y BOOM termina.

All Music Spain: Tu agenda de gira es muy agitada. ¿Cómo encontraste tiempo para grabar este nuevo álbum?

REZZ: He estado trabajando en ello durante aproximadamente un año más o menos. Siempre encuentro el tiempo. Estoy más tiempo en casa más que lo que estoy de gira.

All Music Spain: ¿Cómo crees que tu estilo ha ido evolucionando con el tiempo?

REZZ: Mi estilo ha madurado, ahora hay muchos más componentes melódicos en mis temas que antes, se han vuelto más frecuentes las melodias en mis tracks.

All Music Spain: ¿Estás haciendo alguna producción especial para esta próxima gira? Cuéntanos un poquito sobre esto.

REZZ: Grandes pantalla LED, lásers, ya tu sabes! Intentando mantener un concepto simple, limpio, pero audaz al mismo tiempo. ¡También estoy preparando nuevas visuales!

All Music Spain: La salud mental y el cuidado personal son problemas en la comunidad musical, especialmente para los artistas que hacen giras sin apenas descanso. ¿Cómo mantienes tu saber estar y bienestar mientras viajas?

REZZ: La forma de mantener la cordura es mantener el ritmo. Estos días tengo mucho tiempo para mí, mi carrera. ¡Es un gran equilibrio! El equilibrio es muy importante. Si estás de gira demasiado, es casi inevitable que empieces a desgastarte.

All Music Spain: Volviendo a las giras, has pasado bastante tiempo viajando: ¿hay algún lugar favorito al que regreses, algún sitio nuevo que hayas ido recientemente?

REZZ: Me gustaría regresar a Hawai. Me di cuenta de que amo lugares con mucha naturaleza. Y por eso me encantan los lugares rodeados de árboles y sitios tranquilos.  Me cautiva que sea un lugar acogedor y relajado.

All Music Spain: ¿Qué te ha sorprendido más en tu carrera hasta ahora?

REZZ: ¡Lo rápido que han pasados las cosas en este año, 2018 está siendo realmente es una locura para mí! ¡Estoy encabezando festivales este año!

All Music Spain: En general, ¿qué significa la música para ti? ¿Por qué es importante?

REZZ: La música lo es todo. Mi música es mi vida entera, en mi mente, mi subconsciente traduce el «ruido» en el resultado que veis.

All Music Spain: ¿Qué es lo que más te gusta de las giras y/o presentaciones?

REZZ: Lo que más me gusta de las giras y las presentaciones es mostrar a la gente lo que creo y lo que hago. Me encanta ese “personaje” que soy en el escenario, es muy divertido y natural. Me encanta ver las reacciones de los fans y las sus expresiones en la cara.

All Music Spain: ¿Qué es lo más dificil de las giras?

REZZ: Mientras hagas más shows en las giras peor. El principal problema que se hace más difícil son los madrugones, vuelos, etc.

All Music Spain: Y para terminar Rezz. Para alguien que nunca lo haya visto actuar, ¿qué pueden esperar de sus shows en directo?

REZZ: ¡Una experiencia hipnótica!
